The medium-sized family-owned company MEBA sawing solutions from the Alb-Donau district, founded in 1958, specializes in metal bandsawing machines – and is a global player in mechanical engineering. The owner-managed industrial company repeatedly demonstrates its innovative strength: Most recently, MEBA optimized its production with innovative MES systems from PROXIA.
More transparency, better data collection and valid evaluation
MEBA lacked transparency in the monitoring of employees and systems in production. In order to stay on track here in terms of user orientation and Industry 4.0, it was necessary to optimize the processes in a timely manner. The solution: a suitable, intelligent Manufacturing Execution System, MES for short, for better recording of machine and operating data and valid evaluation. Several components were implemented: MDE (Machine data acquisition), BDE (Production data acquisition), reports (production cockpit, OEE, …), PROXIA XI gateway, monitor. Web. The system enables more accurate resource planning through accurate data collection and immediate feedback via live monitoring.
