The term “Industry 4.0” is also referred to as the fourth industrial revolution and aims to intelligently link “smart” components and automated systems with the help of information technology. A three-part report examines the challenges and impact on production.

Ein wesentlicher Anspruch einer „Smart Factory“ ist, nicht bei jedem Produktionsprozess „das Rad neu zu erfinden“.
