Industry 4.0 is a topic that has become much more important in recent years. The reasons for this lie, for example, in mass production sector, according to Mr. Niebecker. Here, German companies can barely keep pace with large factories on emerging markets. Therefore, more than ever, the focus is on ideas to increase efficiency at production sites. Expanding the product range whilst reducing production costs, i.e. more individual products at lower prices, sounds very tempting. Industry 4.0 addresses this specific issue!
