The medium-sized family business MEBA sawing solutions from Alb-Donau-Kreis, founded in 1958, is specialized in metal bandsawing machines and is a global player in mechanical engineering. The owner-managed industrial company has proven its innovative strength time and again: MEBA recently optimized its production with MES systems from PROXIA.

More transparency, better data collection and valid analysis

MEBA was lacking transparency in monitoring employees and systems in production. The aim was to optimize processes in a timely manner in order to stay on course in terms of user orientation and Industry 4.0. The solution: A suitable, intelligent Manufacturing Execution System, MES for short, for improved collection of machine and operating data and valid analysis. Several components were implemented: MDC (machine data collection), SFDC (shop floor data collection), reports (production cockpit, OEE, ...), Proxia XI gateway, Monitor. Web. The system facilitates more accurate resource planning through precise data collection and immediate feedback via live monitoring.
