PROXIA Control room/Detailed planning – Electronic planning board software

PROXIA Control room/Detailed planning – Complex processes planned easily

PROXIA Product Control room/Detailed planning example

In practice, machine allocation or the sequence and priority of orders is often made on an empirical basis. This procedure is practicable up to a certain order volume. However, if the number of production orders or their complexity increases, together with material stocks, setup optimization, order networks (multi-level planning) or multi-resources must be taken into account, a gut feeling is no longer sufficient and the planner needs the support of a mathematical control room. PROXIA Control room software is a tool for optimal machine allocation. At the same time, production order delivery deadlines are monitored, and a warning is sounded by the electronic planning board well in advance of any delays. The PROXIA Control room system takes into account the effective capacity of the machine resulting from the shift model and utilization factor. Thanks to the latest software technology, the production planner can very quickly simulate various solutions and evaluate the simulation results. Information on the relevant work queue for production or assembly is incorporated into the control room software.

Control room/Detailed planning - Functions & Features

  • During the development of the PROXIA Control Room, particular attention was paid to clear display/operation and high performance. Daily questions can therefore be answered ad hoc:

    • What effect does the prioritization of a “priority order” have on other orders?
    • Can the deadlines for one or more delayed orders be met by increasing capacity or outsourcing?
    • What effect does a deadline set by sales or a project have on existing orders?
    • Is setup optimization based on different characteristics such as material, color, diameter, etc. useful and what effect does it have on the schedule?
PROXIA Product Control room/Detailed planning example 2
  • Orders are automatically imported via the ERP/PPS system interface and compared to existing capacities based on resources, shift models, and personnel resources planning. The Control Room performs automatic, algorithm-based machine allocation and time scheduling, which can be influenced by the planner via drag & drop or priority rules in the next step. To provide a real-world simulation, a finite plan is created in planning mode. Infinite planning can also be carried out in simulation mode to see where and how many overloads could/need to be reduced.

PROXIA Product Control room/Detailed planning example 3
  • The PROXIA Scheduling System software lets you act flexibly and quickly. If, for example, urgent orders need to be handled, you can import all data from the ERP system and check for and allocate free capacity. The planning result is shown visually and the effects on subsequent production is shown in real time. The planner can thus see an imminent problem and act accordingly. The data is always up-to-date, since the system continuously communicates with the ERP system. Breakdowns such as machine failures are also shown visually and identified. They can be prevented at an early stage.

PROXIA Product Control room/Detailed planning example 4
  • The PROXIA detailed planning Scheduling System replaces laborious methods, e.g. spreadsheets or planning and plugins: Dashboards keep you updated on production status, and permit adjustments if there are discrepancies in planned data. The user interface is user-friendly and ergonomically designed. For example, orders can be moved via drag and drop. Changes to parallel or subsequent orders can be seen immediately. It also automatically guarantees that the appropriate staff, materials, and other equipment is available.

PROXIA Product Control room/Detailed planning example 5
  • The production planner can very quickly simulate various solutions and evaluate the simulation results. Information about the relevant work queue for production or assembly is incorporated into the control room software. With PROXIA detailed planning you are completely informed about the order, resources, and materials situation. Different “recovery scenarios” can be simulated on the user-friendly interface. Choose the best variant and implement it. The heart of the PROXIA Scheduling System is the interactive Gantt chart. This animated display is unique, and allows interactive simulation and planning via drag and drop. The graphic, electronic PROXIA planning board software has been developed with Microsoft .NET technology and has no purchased components.

PROXIA PLUS: Control room/Detailed planning – Your added value

    Optimal machine allocation

An optimal planning result is achieved by automatic allocation of machines. If other priorities are needed, they can be adjusted manually using drag & drop.

    Automatic planning of order sequence

PROXIA Control room-detailed planning software defines the optimum sequence of orders and tasks to be processed, therefore e.g. the ideal machine setup times can be achieved.

    Integration of all key resources

PROXIA Control room/Detailed planning software integrates all necessary resources such as personnel, machines, materials, tools and orders.

    Problems clearly shown

If there are discrepancies in planning, e.g. machine breakdowns or staff shortages, the planner receives visual notification that a conflict is arising.
